PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a settlement system capable of imparting benefits to the user when settling a commodity or a service and more reliably preventing the benefits from being illegally applied.SOLUTION: A settlement system 1 performs an imparting processing of the benefits for the user when validity information showing the validity of benefit information read by a non-contact reader/writer and imparted to the user is a predetermined valid data, and a settlement amount is calculated based on the price information recorded in the commodity IC tag attached by associating with the commodity. Further, the validity information is rewritable from the valid data to the non-valid data. As a result, the benefits are more reliably prevented from being illegally applied, and the benefits can be properly applied to the user. |
