PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire intended for weight saving while keeping durability.SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire comprises: a belt composed of at least two belt layers 5; and a belt-reinforcing layer 6 on the outer side in the direction of the tire diameter of the belt. At least one layer of the belt layers 5 is a steel cord consisting of a core composed of two core filaments and N (2≤N≤4) sheath filaments stranded together around the core. The core filament diameter d1 and the sheath filament diameter d2 meet the condition d1>d2. A total fineness per organic fiber cord of the belt-reinforcing layer 6 is 600-3000 dtex, and the 3% tensile resistance per organic fiber cord, taken out from the tire, is 3-17 GPa. |
