PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus configured to correct a position of a transfer material in a sub-scanning direction by changing the rotation speed of a roller which transmits rotation driving force by a spur gear, while preventing reduction in rotation accuracy of the roller.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes an image forming part for forming a toner image on a photoreceptor, a transfer part for transferring the toner image to a transfer material, and a conveyance part for conveying the transfer material toward the transfer part. The conveyance part includes a roller 231 to which rotation driving force is to be transmitted by spur gear 232, and a main-scanning direction correction mechanism for correcting displacement of the transfer material in the main scanning direction. The image forming apparatus includes a control part which executes, in a temporally overlapping manner, correction of a position of the transfer material in the main-scanning direction by means of the main-scanning direction correction mechanism and correction of a position of the transfer material in the sub-scanning direction by changing the rotation speed of the roller 231. |
