The invention relates to a process for tinting lens, preferably organic lens. Especially, the present invention relates to a process for tinting lens comprising dipping lens in a tinting bath comprising water, at least a dye, a polyalkylene glycol derivative of formula (II) and a compound of formula (I) wherein n is an integer an is ranging from 1 to 6, preferably is equal to 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6, more preferably is equal to 2; R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 are each independently selected from the group of substituent comprising hydrogen atoms, halogen atoms, C1-4 alkyl preferably methyl or ethyl, C1-4 alkoxy preferably methoxy or ethoxy, hydroxyl, -O-(CH2)n-OH wherein n is as described above; preferably R1, R2, R4 and R5 are hydrogen atoms and R3 is -O-(CH2)n-OH. The invention further relates to a tinted lens with a coating comprising a compound of formula (I). |
