PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water vapor adsorbing and desorbing agent useful for a heat pump system, a humidity regulating wall material, a humidity regulating sheet, and the like.SOLUTION: The water vapor adsorbing and desorbing agent contains a silicoaluminophosphate represented by the general formula (1) defined by (SiAlP)O, where x, y and z represent the molar fractions of Si, Al and P, respectively, satisfying x+y+z=1. The silicoaluminophosphate has an intergrowth crystal structure of the AEI structure and the CHA structure that exhibits a powder X-ray diffraction pattern with broad peaks at interplanar spacings of 6.60 Å, 5.24 Å and 4.17 Å. |
