PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel drainage system for a building including drain pipes for conveying drain water generated within the building to a public sewerage system.SOLUTION: A drainage system 10 for a building is applied to a condominium 100 or the like and comprises drain pipes 12 for conveying drain water discharged from drainage instruments of toilets or the like to a public sewerage system 102. The drain pipe 12 includes a closing part 22 such as a gate valve. An opening part 36 is provided in an upper part of a pipe wall of the drain pipe 12 at an upstream side of the closing part 22. In the case of emergency where the public sewerage system 102 is not available, a conduit line is closed by the closing part 22. Then, drain water flowing in the drain pipe 12 overflows from the opening part 36 and is stored in an emergency drain water reservoir tank 14 in place of being discharged to the public sewerage system 102. Thus, even when the public sewerage system is not available in disaster situations, the use of drainage instruments such as toilets or the like can be assured for a certain period of time. |
