PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image diagnostic apparatus making a reduction in power source equipment without reducing maximum power consumption.SOLUTION: An image diagnostic apparatus (20) consumes external electric power to generate image data of a subject and includes charge-discharge elements (BA1,..., BAn) and charge-discharge control circuits (140, 152). The charge-discharge elements are charged by the external electric power and also supply part of electric power to be consumed by the image diagnostic apparatus by electric discharge. The charge-discharge control circuits control charge and discharge of the charge-discharge elements so as to perform discharge of the charge-discharge elements during a period when the consumed electric power is larger than a prescribed electric energy, and also so as to perform charge of the charge-discharge elements during a period when the consumed electric power is smaller than the prescribed electric energy. |
