PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify creation of a color conversion table used by a user for performing desired color conversion.SOLUTION: For each of a plurality of hues in an input gamut, a target color is set for a highest saturation point representing a color of highest saturation (step S4), and the difference E between a hue value of a target color and a hue value of highest saturation point corresponding to the target color is calculated (step S5). A weight is calculated based on the saturation and brightness at the input points (Labvalue) of a color conversion table (step S8), the difference E in the hue at the input points is multiplied by the weight, and added to the hue value I at the input point (step S9). A hue value I' obtained by calculation is converted into the device value (CMYK value) of the output device (step S11), and correspondence from the hue value I to the device value of the output device is set in the color conversion table (step S12). |
