PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modular wall planting system which allows plant matter to be secured to vertical and substantially vertical surfaces of wall structures of free standing walls and buildings, thereby increasing the aesthetic appearance of the structure as well as improving the thermal efficiency of associated buildings.SOLUTION: A mounting structure comprises a first member including a first end and a second end, wherein the mounting structure is supported from a substantially vertically extending wall surface 12, and a planter box 14 that includes a plurality of sidewalls 16 and a bottom wall that form a compartment adapted to receive plant matter therein and an upwardly opening aperture adapted to receive a fluid therethrough. The sidewalls 16 comprises a rear wall 22 facing the wall surface 12, and the planter box 14 is adapted to mount to the mounting structure such that the rear wall 22 is spaced from the wall surface 12 to create a space therebetween. |
