PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a map in a size intended by a map provider side irrespective of resolution of a terminal device.SOLUTION: A map information providing device comprises: means for receiving specification of a display region of a map from a terminal device; means for acquiring resolution of the terminal device; means for determining a map image size for displaying a map on the terminal device in a predetermined size; means for generating a map image from vector map data in the display region on the basis of the determined map image size; and means for transmitting the generated map image to the terminal device. |
