PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent short circuits in a charger.SOLUTION: A charging system 1 includes: a charging object device 2; and a charger 3. The charging object device 2 includes a power receiving terminal 21 which is disposed being exposed from an outer wall surface 23 of a housing of the charging object device 2 to the device inner side of the charging object device 2. The charger 3 includes: a charging terminal 33; a charging circuit; and a button type switch 49 which stops power supply by the charging circuit. The button type switch 49 stops the power supply from the charging circuit when the charing terminal 33 contacts with the outer wall surface 23 of the charging object device 2.
