At the present time, remote-control devices for closing/opening locks or for arming/disarming (for example, vehicle alarms) are regarded as having limited reliability because of the potential for the signal to be intercepted by specialized devices known as code grabbers. By providing the remote control fob of an alarm system (security system/locking/unlocking device) with an additional transmitter which operates only during disarming (the opening of a lock) and has a maximum working range of 2 metres, such security devices can be rendered more effective. |
