PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact rotary electric machine that has a detection substrate and a detection element for detecting rotation of a rotor.SOLUTION: A motor 1 includes: a stator 4 that is approximately ring-shaped; a rotor 3 that is arranged inside the ring of the stator 4 and that is rotated around a central axis X; a sensor 11 that detects the rotation of the rotor 3; and a sensor substrate 7 on which the sensor 11 is mounted. The sensor 11 and the sensor substrate 7 are arranged on an outer side of the stator 4 in a direction along the central axis X. The sensor 11 is a reflective light transmitting/receiving sensor. |
