PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tree protector that cannot be lifted by wild animals such as deer so that the tree protector can sufficiently protect a seedling.SOLUTION: A tree protector 10 is provided, comprising: a tree protector body 11 formed in a cylindrical shape by mutually connecting the two side edge parts of a transparent or translucent resin sheet; and a circular holding ring 20 that can be fitted to the outer peripheral surface of the tree protector body 11. Engaging projection parts 12 are arranged zigzag on both side edge parts of the resin sheet and an insertion slit 15 is disposed at a side edge part opposite to at least one of the engaging projection parts 12. And, at least one piece of holding projection part 21 is disposed to at least one of the upper or the lower end part of the circular holding ring 20, the holding projection part 21 projecting parallel to the axial center of the circular holding ring 20.
