A backlight module comprises: a back plate (2), a reflector (4) provided in the back plate (2), a light guide plate (6) provided on the reflector (4), an optical film set (8) provided on the light guide plate (6), a backlight source (5) provided in the back plate (2) and disposed with respect to the light guide plate (6), a plastic frame (7) provided on the back plate (2), and an elastic barrier (9) provided above light incident surfaces of the backlight source (5) and the light guide plate (6) and fixed on the plastic frame (7) through plugging, adhering or clamping. The elastic barrier (9) comprises a bottom surface (93) and a side surface (94) perpendicular to the bottom surface (93), and the bottom surface (93) and the side surface (94) closely contact the upper surface of the light guide plate (6) and the backlight source (5). The elastic barrier (9) made of white rubber and having elasticity is fixed on the plastic frame (7) through plugging, adhering or clamping, and closely contacts the light guide plate (6) and the upper surface of an LED lamp (54), so as to reflect the light to the light guide plate (6), thereby preventing the light from leaking from the gap of the incident side, solving the problem of light leakage on the incident side of the backlight module, and improving the optical efficiency of the backlight module.
