<p>[Problem] To provide an engine which can be maintained at reduced cost because the efficiency of the work of replacement and repair of a lubricating oil pump is improved. [Solution] An engine is provided with a lubricating oil pump (9) for delivering, under pressure, lubricating oil within an oil pan (4). A gear casing (81) which incorporates a gear for transmitting power to the lubricating oil pump (9) is mounted to the engine body. The lubricating oil pump (9) is mounted to the gear casing (81). The gear casing (81) protrudes from the cylinder block which constitutes the engine body.</p> |
