The method involves detecting monitoring signal (38) that is dependent on performance of power supply system (28) and/or supply condition of electrical loads (14,16,18,20,22) with electrical energy. A stability value (WSK) determined as function of detected monitoring signal indicates the probability of supplying the electrical loads with electrical energy from power supply system. An operating behavior of electrical loads is derived to change according to determined stability value. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a control device for operating motor vehicle; and (2) a motor vehicle.
