PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce splice loss between an optical fiber and an optical element.SOLUTION: An optical communication module 100 includes: a casing 1 having a recess portion 11 on a top surface thereof; an optical element 2 placed on a bottom surface of the recess portion 11; a transparent plate 3 which covers the recess portion 11 so as to encapsulate the optical element 2 and has a lens portion 31; and a sleeve 4 which contacts a top surface of the transparent plate 3 and into which an optical fiber is inserted, the optical fiber being optically connected with the optical element 2 through the lens portion 31. |
