PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the exposure of each input image to be composited with a swing panorama proper.SOLUTION: A plurality of input images are sequentially photographed while a camera is swung. A segmentation area CR is set in each input image and the images in the segmentation areas CR of the respective input images are joined to each other in a swing direction, to produce a panoramic composite image. A luminance evaluation part sets an AE evaluation area (330R') to the right side of the segmentation area CR of each input image, when the swing direction is a right direction and sets an AE evaluation area (330L') to the left side of the segmentation area CR of each input image, when the swing direction is a left direction, to evaluate the luminance of an object in the AE evaluation area. The corresponding area of the segmentation area CR on next and following frames is included in the AE evaluation area. An exposure control part performs the exposure control of each input image, based on the evaluation result. |
