PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle device and a flinger for the spindle device that allow high-speed rotation using bearings with a dmn value of one million or more and can prevent the flinger from being deformed by centrifugal force while keeping a good waterproofing function.SOLUTION: A spindle device 40 comprises: a cylindrical boss part 42 fitted onto a rotating shaft 11; a disk part 43 extending with an inclination from an axial front end part of the boss part 42 toward a radial outside and opposed to an axial front face of a housing H via a gap; an annular part 44 extending from a radial outside end part of the disk part 43 toward the other axial end side and opposed to an outer peripheral surface of the housing H via a gap; a flinger body 41 made of a metal material; and a ring member 70 fitted onto an outer peripheral surface of the annular part 44 and made of a carbon fiber composite material.
