The invention relates to an axial piston expander for a heat recovery device of a motor vehicle, comprising an output shaft (14), which is rotatably supported about a rotational axis (25) and at which mechanical driving power can be tapped, several cylinders (26), which are oriented parallel to the rotational axis (25) and arranged distributed in the circumferential direction around the rotational axis (25), several pistons (27), which are each arranged parallel to the rotational axis (25) in one of the cylinders (26) in such a way that the stroke of the pistons can be adjusted, a coupling disk (28), which is connected to all pistons (27) and to the output shaft (14) in a driving manner, a high-pressure inlet (17), which has a fluidic connection to the cylinders (26), a low-pressure outlet (18), which has a fluidic connection to the cylinders (26), and a valve device (30) for controlling the fluidic connections between the cylinders (26) and the high-pressure inlet (17) and between the cylinders and the low-pressure outlet (18). According to the invention, the axial piston expander for a heat recovery device (2) of a motor vehicle has a stroke-adjusting device, wherein the stroke of the pistons (27) can be set by controlling the pressure in a driving chamber (43). According to the invention, the expansion machine is an axial piston expander (11), the stroke of which can be controlled by means of a driving-chamber pressure and the output shaft (14) of which is or can be coupled to the drive train (7) of the internal combustion engine (1) in order to transfer mechanical driving power. |
