The dowel (10) has an arm (14) that is extended radially from the center of a circle-shaped portion (12), so as to form a cross-section of dowel. The thickness of arm is set approximately about eight quarters to the diameter of the circle-shaped portion. Hooks (16) are bent at radially external ends, while maintaining the thickness of hooks in the same direction. An outer contour of hooks is made in congruent to the circumference of circle-shaped portion. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a wall anchor for fastening insulation boards at building wall; and (2) a method for fastening wall anchor to building wall.
