The household appliance arrangement has two household appliances (1), where the former household appliance is designed as a cooking appliance and the latter household appliance is designed as a washing machine. A heat transmission device (4) is provided to transmit a portion of the thermal energy available in the former household appliance selectively to the latter household appliance. The heat transmission device has a heat transfer medium (14) and particularly a fluid as the heat transfer medium. An independent claim is included for a method for operating a household appliance arrangement.
