The present invention relates to a use of xanthium fruit extract and/or dicaffeoyl quinic acid derivatives for preventing, curing, and/or treating a diabetes induced complication, more specifically a medicinal composition or a food composition containing more than one material selected from the group consisting of a xanthium fruit extract and a dicaffeoyl quinic acid derivative denoted by chemical formula 1 as active ingredients. The composition has excellent antioxidant activity, aldose reductase suppression activity, and final saccharified product suppression activity, has almost no problems related to side effects and safety by using natural extracts, and is capable of being used for curing, preventing, and treating a diabetes induced complication. |
