PURPOSE: A composition for skin whitening is provided to supress melanogenesis by comprising an arbutin complex, and to prevent or cure pigmentation. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition for skin whitening comprises: trimethyl phytosphingosine of chemical formula 1 or cyclic trimethyl phytosphingosine of chemical formula 2, its salt which is pharmaceutically acceptable or its solvate. A pharmaceutical composition for pigmentation prevention or treatment comprises: trimethyl phytosphingosine of chemical formula 1 or cyclic trimethyl phytosphingosine of chemical formula 2, its salt which is pharmaceutically acceptable or its solvate. The pigmentation is inkling, fleck, nevus of ota, melasma, or vitiligo. |
