PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector and a focus adjustment method capable of effectively adjusting a focus on the basis of temperature.SOLUTION: A projector comprises: a correction amount acquisition part (function part of a CPU 2) for acquiring a correction amount related to a lens 12 on the basis of a temperature detected by a temperature detection part 13 which detects a temperature; a correction amount determination part (function part of the CPU 2) for determining whether or not the correction amount acquired by the correction amount acquisition part exceeds a threshold; and a driving control part (function part of the CPU 2) for, when it is determined that the correction amount acquired by the correction amount acquisition part exceeds the threshold by the correction amount determination part, performing control to drive a driving part 22 which drives the lens 12 to adjust the correction amount acquired by the correction amount acquisition part with a driving amount per driving unit. |
