摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To downsize power source equipment without reducing maximum power consumption in magnetic resonance imaging.SOLUTION: An MRI apparatus (20A) includes data collection systems (22, 24, 26, 28, 29, 40, 42, 44, 46 and 48), a charge-discharge element (BAT), and electric power control parts (52 and 309). The data collection systems collect nuclear magnetic resonance signals from a photographing area by performing scan. The charge-discharge element is part of electric power systems (304, 308a, 52, BD and BAU) of the MRI apparatus and is charged by external electric power. The electric power control part controls power systems so that electric power is supplied from the charge-discharge electric element to at least one unit other than the data collection systems in the MRI apparatus.
