PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately notify of a shift position of a shift lever even when a range-finding sensor has made a time-sequential change or the mounting position relative to the shift lever has been displaced.SOLUTION: A shift position notification device 5 stores (learns) in advance a value of an output voltage associated with each of shift positions of a shift lever 4 as a memory value. When inputting a value of an output voltage from a range-finding sensor 16, the shift position notification device identifies a current shift position using the stored memory values of the respective shift positions. If a decision is made that a memory value associated with any of the shift positions has to be corrected because the range-finding sensor 16 has made a time-sequential change or the mounting position relative to the shift lever 4 has been displaced, if adjoining ones of corrected decision domains for all the shift positions do not overlap, the memory values associated with all the shift positions are corrected. |
