PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an internal combustion engine, capable of directly and properly calculating the best fuel consumption torque without presetting or learning an operation line showing the best fuel consumption torque depending on an operation state of the internal combustion engine, and of reducing the costs and improving fuel consumption.SOLUTION: In a control device of an internal combustion engine, if the internal combustion engine 3 is operated at a predetermined reference speed NEREF, on the basis of a temporary intake quantity and estimated torque relationship (Fig. 9) that is a relationship between a plurality of temporary intake quantities GAIRPRVi and a plurality of estimated torque TRQESTi when intake air in the plurality of temporary intake quantities GAIRPRVi is supplied, a plurality of fuel consumption ratio parameters PRMBSFCi corresponding to the plurality of estimated torque TRQESTi is calculated (at step 18 in Fig. 4), and estimated toque TRQEST corresponding to their minimum values PRMBSFCMIN is calculated as the best fuel consumption torque TRQBSFCB at the reference speed NEREF (at step 19 in Fig. 4 and Fig. 10). |
