The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for keeping temperature of a battery for a vehicle, and more particularly, to an apparatus for keeping temperature of a battery for a vehicle, which is capable of keeping the battery temperature at suitable temperature so that the vehicle battery can perform the function thereof at low temperature environment, and a method thereof. The apparatus for keeping temperature of a battery for a vehicle according to the present invention includes a heat radiating unit for heating the battery; a sensor for measuring temperature of the battery; a power source for supplying electric power to the heat radiating unit; and a heat radiation control unit for allowing the electric power to be supplied to the heat radiating unit to heat the battery when the battery temperature measured by the sensor is equal to or less than suitable temperature. |
