HEIGHT CONTROL DEVICE FOR MOTORCYCLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid trouble due to an unexpected height increasing action during a stop of a vehicle with respect to a height control device for motorcycle which uses a hydraulic pump operating to pump through extension and contraction of a damper.SOLUTION: A height control device for motorcycle comprises: a damper 10A interposed between a vehicle body and an axle; a hydraulic pump 50 which performs a pumping operation through expansion and contraction of the damper to discharge working oil in the damper; a hydraulic jack 41 into and from which the working oil discharged by the hydraulic pump is fed and discharged to change the vehicle height; vehicle height detection means 80 of detecting the vehicle height; a selector valve 60 which selectively connects the hydraulic jack to an oil reservoir chamber 26 of the damper; and control means 70 of performing selection control over the selector valve according to a detection result of the vehicle height detection means to control the vehicle height to an arbitrary position. The control means performs opening/closing control over the selector valve at intervals of a certain time to perform a vehicle height decreasing operation.
