PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater capable of surely performing pipe cleaning after drainage of water in a bathtub.SOLUTION: A water heater comprises: a water level determination unit 100a which determines whether a water level inside a bathtub 3 detected by a water level sensor LS is lower than a preset reference water level or not; a water flow determination unit 100b which, when the water level determination unit 100a determines that the water level in the bathtub 3 detected by the water level sensor LS is lower than the reference water level, determines presence/absence of water flow flowing in a bath circulation circuit on the basis of a detection result of a water flow sensor SW by operating a circulation pump P3 for a bath; and an opening/closing valve control unit 100c which opens an electromagnetic valve 6 for flow amount adjustment for performing pipe cleaning in which hot water in a hot water storage tank 1 is flowed in the bath circulation circuit when the water flow determination unit 100b determines that there is no water flow in the bath circulation circuit. |
