PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet printer capable of achieving a removal mechanism of ink mist with a relatively simple configuration.SOLUTION: Ducts 13 each having an inlet port 14 formed on a plane facing a recording medium 6 and an outlet port 15 formed in an area in which a cooling fan 20 sucks air are provided in a carriage 10, and air around recording heads 12 is made to flow into the ducts 13 from the inlet ports 14 by sucking air inside the ducts 13 into the cooling fans 20 from the outlet ports 15. Even if ink mist occurs during ink discharging, air including the ink mist floating around the recording heads 12 is sucked by the ducts 13. The cooling fans 20 are used to remove the ink dust. |
