The test dosing device (10) has a test controller (16) for controlling a test conveyor unit (17) with which the bulk material is conveyed into a central weighing station (12). The gravimetric measurement variables or characteristics are automatically detected and stored with an electronic evaluation device (14). The test dosing device is combined with a processing device of a volumetrically operating production dosing machine (40). The dosing of the bulk material takes place in the production dosing device by the gravimetrically determined measurement variables or characteristics. An independent claim is included for a dosing method.
