The seat assembly (10) has a seat pad (16) provided adjacent to a frame for supporting an occupant, where a cover (18) is extended over a portion of the seat pad. A release seam of the cover is arranged adjacent to the seat pad. An airbag assembly is mounted on the frame in relation with the distance of the release seam. The airbag assembly has an inflator and a folded airbag that is inflated by the inflator to unfold and sling outside from the seat assembly by the release seam of the cover. An airbag guide is connected to the airbag assembly. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing a vehicle seat assembly.
