The present invention relates to a case for a portable terminal and a manufacturing method thereof. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the case for a portable terminal includes: a case unit which is detachably coupled to the outside of a portable terminal and has a surface of a predetermined area; and a cover unit which includes an outer thin film layer which is made of a material different from the material of the case unit and a coupling layer which comprises a binder for IML(In-Mold Labeling) which is coated or laminated on the inner surface of the outer thin film layer, and is integrally coupled through injection-molding by placing the coupling layer on the surface of the case.
