PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner with which the risk of generation of heat stroke is reduced by using a wet bulb globe temperature as a control parameter of an automatic air conditioning operation.SOLUTION: An air conditioner 1 includes: a temperature detector 35 and a humidity detector 36; a determination unit 43 which easily estimates a wet bulb globe temperature on the basis of an indoor temperature measured by the temperature detector 35 and an indoor relative humidity measured by the humidity detector 36; and a caution signal unit 44 which issues a caution signal when the determination unit 43 determines that the wet bulb globe temperature has reached the alert level. A " monitoring automatic air conditioning operation mode " for performing an automatic air conditioning operation upon the issuance of the caution signal is set in the air conditioner 1. When the "monitoring automatic air conditioning operation mode "is selected, a control unit 40 of the air conditioner 1 starts the automatic air conditioning operation of the air conditioner 1 upon receiving a determination from the determination unit 43 that the wet bulb globe temperature has reached the alert level. |
