摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable coordinate measurement machine which a joint assembly is easily detached from and added to.SOLUTION: A coordinate measurement machine comprises: an articulated arm which has a plurality of jointed arm segments each of which includes at least one position transducer, and includes 7 rotary axes; and a measurement probe assembly coupled to an end of the arm. The measurement probe assembly comprises: a joint which provides a sixth rotary axis between the end of the arm and a body of the measurement probe assembly; a reading head; an encoder disk configured to rotate about a seventh rotary axis relative to the reading head; a first probe which surrounds the seventh rotary axis and is rotatably fixed to the body and is rigidly coupled to a first joint; and a second probe which is coupled to the body so as to rotate about the seventh rotary axis relative to the first probe by a rotary joint.
