<p>A battery system comprises a battery rack (100) and a rack battery management system BMS (200) for controlling the battery rack, wherein the battery rack includes a plurality of battery trays (110-k) each including a plurality of battery cells, and a plurality of tray battery management systems BMS (120-k) electrically connected to respective ones of the battery trays(110-k); wherein each tray BMS has a microcontroller unit (445) for controlling the tray BMS; and a tray ON/OFF unit (420) connected between a power input and the microcontroller unit (445), the tray ON/OFF unit being arranged to provide a first power signal to turn the power to the microcontroller unit on and off according to a power control signal PCS from the rack BMS(200).</p> |
