PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal-air battery which has improved discharge characteristics.SOLUTION: The metal-air battery includes a positive electrode layer, a negative electrode layer and an electrolyte layer arranged between the positive electrode layer and the negative electrode layer. The positive electrode layer is composed of a conductive layer, a binder and an SiOparticle. The SiOparticle has a specific surface of 16.7 m/g or less, is nonporous and is contained in an amount of 10 to 30 wt% of the total mass of the positive electrode layer. Moreover, the ratio of the SiOparticle to the content of the conductive layer is 0.17 to 0.75. |
