PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of accurately recognizing time of replacement of units.SOLUTION: An intermediate transfer unit, developing unit, developer, secondary transfer unit, drum unit, and fixing unit comprise functions related to image formation and are configured to be removably attached to an image forming apparatus. An image pickup unit 60 is provided on a conveyance unit 420 where a sheet is conveyed on which an image is formed by an image forming unit 41, and reads the image on the sheet conveyed on the conveyance unit 420. A control unit 110 compares read image data obtained by reading the image by the image pickup unit 60 with original image data that is the original of the image formed by the image forming unit 41 to determine the phenomenon occurring to the image formed on the sheet. The control unit 110 determines whether the intermediate transfer unit, developing unit, developer, secondary transfer unit, drum unit, and fixing unit have reached the time of replacement on the basis of a determination result. |
