PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a general-purpose surface characteristic inspection device capable of non-destructively and accurately inspecting the surface treatment state of a peening treatment material.SOLUTION: The surface characteristic inspection device 1 includes an AC bridge circuit 20, an AC power source 10, and a determination device 30. The AC bridge circuit includes: a variable resistor 21 configured so that the distribution ratio between a first resistor and a second resistor is variable; a reference detector 22 having a first magnetic sensor capable of detecting the magnetic characteristic; an inspection detector 23 having a second magnetic sensor capable of detecting the magnetic characteristic of an analyte whose quality of the surface treatment state is to be inspected. The first resistor, the second resistor, the reference detector, and the inspection detector constitute a bridge circuit. The determination device determines the quality of the surface treatment state of the analyte on the basis of an output signal from the AC bridge circuit in a state in which AC power is supplied to the AC bridge circuit and the second magnetic sensor detects the magnetic characteristic of the analyte. |
