PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine damage in the battery case of a sealed battery by a simple method with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a sealed battery 10 includes a step for measuring the voltage of the sealed battery 10 when a charging current of a predetermined value or more is fed for a predetermined time to the sealed battery 10 after initial charging thereof, and a step for determining whether or not the battery case 11 of the sealed battery 10 is damaged based on the change in a voltage measured.
