PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide positioning on the basis of a measurement value of signals determined for a virtual reference station.SOLUTION: For supporting use of a virtual reference station, an apparatus may receive request so as to provide a virtual measurement value on beacon signals that are valid for the virtual reference station, where an indication of a desired location of the virtual reference station is included in the request. The apparatus may further determine an entity that is associated to an area including the desired location. The apparatus may further cause the request to be forwarded to the determined entity.
