The double clutch transmission has an input clutch, in which two powershift clutches (C1,C2) for sequential connection of forward gears are arranged in parallel in power flow. Two input shafts (11,12) are connected to the powershift clutches, where two offset countershafts (13,14) are provided in parallel to the input shafts. A hollow shaft (15) is arranged coaxial to the input shafts. An output gear plane (Z0), four gearwheel planes (Z1 to Z4) successively arranged along a main extension direction and eight switching units (S1 to S8) for formation of forward gears are provided.
