MEDICINE INSPECTION DEVICE AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an efficient inspection while suppressing erroneous determination in inspection of medicines.SOLUTION: A medicine inspection device 10 inspects medicines which are prepared based on prescription information and packaged in portion-packaging bags. A medicine database 15 includes medicine images of medicines which can be prepared. Comparison object selection means 16 obtains the medicine images of the medicines which should be prepared according to prescription and similar medicines from a medicine database 15. Medicine determination means 13 verifies a captured image of prepared medicines against medicine images obtained from the medicine database 15 and identifies the medicines present in the captured image and the number thereof. Inspection result determination means 17 determines whether or not the prepared medicines and the number thereof match the prescription information based on the prescription information.
