PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect, in a device mounted on a vehicle and detecting another vehicle by using sound outside the vehicle collected by a microphone, a state of inability of detecting another vehicle due to abnormality such as failure of the microphone.SOLUTION: A vehicle detection device of the present invention includes: a microphone that is arranged on a vehicle to collect sound outside the vehicle; first vehicle detection means for detecting another vehicle on the basis of traveling sound of the another vehicle, of the sound outside the vehicle collected by the microphone; means for accepting a detection result of the presence of another vehicle from second vehicle detection means for detecting the presence of another vehicle by a sensor different from the microphone; and abnormality determination means for determining whether or not the microphone is abnormal on the basis of the detection result of the first vehicle detection means and the detection result of the second vehicle detection means. |
