PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide novel receptor nucleic acids and polypeptides for a B-cell activating factor (BAFF).SOLUTION: Provided is a nucleic acid which includes a nucleic acid sequence encoding a polypeptide at least 50% identical, or at least 90% identical, to a polypeptide comprising a specific amino acid sequence. Also provided are nucleic acids encoding BAFF-R polypeptides, as well as antibodies to BAFF-R polypeptides and pharmaceutical compositions including the same. Further provided are methods of treating tumorigenic and autoimmune conditions using the nucleic acids, the polypeptides, the antibodies and the pharmaceutical compositions. |
