PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a physical condition change of a subject with high degree of accuracy, thereby measuring his/her body temperature in accordance with the physical condition change.SOLUTION: A clinical thermometer is adhered or attached to a subject to measure the body temperature of the subject. The clinical thermometer includes a respiratory rate measuring unit for measuring the respiratory rate of the subject per unit time; an interval control unit for controlling the interval of measurement of the subject's body temperature in accordance with the respiratory rate measured by the respiratory rate measuring unit; and a body temperature measurement unit for measuring the body temperature of the subject at the measurement interval controlled by the interval control unit.
