PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To monitor a memory efficiently.SOLUTION: An LIU stores the fact whether or not a packet transmitted/received over a virtual network has distributed in an LIU, for each virtual identifier for identifying the virtual network constructed in a physical network. The LIU selects a virtual identifier, having a predetermined number or less of times when packets are distributed through the LIU, among the virtual identifiers thus stored. The LIU generates a monitor packet that is transmitted/received over a virtual network specified by the virtual identifier thus selected. The LIU gains access to the entry of a memory corresponding to the virtual identifier thus specified, and detects abnormalities of the memory when distributing, into the LIU, the monitor packet thus generated. |
